Charlotte Burgmans (NL) began taking art classes before she could even write, embedding art into her life from an early age. Having lived in multiple countries, her relocation to the United States in 2003 greatly accelerated her art career. Charlotte pursued master classes in painting, ceramics, and printmaking at Saddleback College (Mission Viejo, CA) and successfully participated in numerous juried exhibitions across California, Texas, and New York, among other places. Her first solo exhibition, featuring abstract paintings, was held in October 2004 in San Clemente, CA. Her artwork has also appeared in movies and TV shows, including The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Charlotte’s artistic style has evolved over the years, eventually leading her to create wall reliefs inspired by geometric patterns and incorporating materials like airplane plywood, clay, and paper. Her first wall relief won 3rd Prize in the 2018 Juried Exhibition in Laguna Beach, CA. Having spent much of her career in California, she now works from her studio in Hilversum. Charlotte’s work is exhibited internationally and is part of numerous corporate and private collections worldwide.
